Police officers in Essex are hoping they never get to face a new illegal weapon which has already been found on the streets of London.
The Motedo cell phone stun gun looks exactly like a mobile phone - but it can give a shock of 180,000 volts through the fake antenna.
Built in Taiwan, the weapon is illegal in Britain and companies which sell the "security device" on the internet state clearly they will not ship them to the UK.
However, Metropolitan police have been warned about the weapon following one being taken from a prisoner in custody and fears over the stun gun being smuggled into the country as it is not considered a restricted weapon in nearby France, Spain, Holland or Germany.
